Spending crypto in Spain

A practical guide for people paid in USDT, USDC or other crypto assets who spend primarily in EUR.

Quick answer

Yes — Spanish residents can use crypto-funded debit cards. Three verified programs in our database: RedotPay (global), Bybit EU (bybit.eu) and Crypto.com EU (tiered prepaid Visa). USDT: RedotPay lists USDT; Bybit EU does not; Crypto.com uses dynamic crypto top-up — check Card → Top Up in the app.

RedotPay may be a stronger match for a USDT-heavy setup. Bybit EU and Crypto.com EU are more relevant if your spending balance is in USDC or other supported assets (Crypto.com — dynamic top-up in app).

Crypto cards available to Spanish residents

RedotPay operates globally — Spain is not on its unsupported-country list at time of verification, though final eligibility depends on KYC. Bybit EU is a separate program on bybit.eu for EEA residents. Crypto.com EU lists Spain among European prepaid Visa markets — tiered fees (Midnight through Obsidian) with different ATM allowances. These are different products with different fee schedules.

USDT vs USDC matters in Spain

If your salary arrives in USDT, RedotPay is the only verified program in our database that lists USDT for card spending. Bybit EU lists USDC, BTC, ETH, MNT, TON and XRP per current card intro — USDT is not listed. Crypto.com EU supports crypto top-up with eligible assets shown dynamically in the app. Run the calculator above with your actual asset.

Everyday card payments in EUR

Most daily spend in Spain is in euros. RedotPay converts crypto at payment time (~1% conversion + ~1.2% FX when merchant currency differs from card currency). Bybit EU uses EUR as base currency with 0.9% crypto conversion and 0.5% FX on top of Mastercard rate when applicable — domestic EUR spend typically triggers less FX than a USD-denominated card.

ATM withdrawals

RedotPay charges from 2% on ATM withdrawals per its global fee schedule. Bybit EU charges 2% on ATM withdrawals after the first €100 per month (free tier). Crypto.com EU: 2% above a tier-dependent free allowance — from €200/mo (Midnight) up to €1,000/mo (Obsidian). Higher ATM use can make tier choice matter more than conversion fees.

Apple Pay / Google Pay

Both RedotPay and Bybit EU list Apple Pay and Google Pay support on eligible devices and regions. Confirm in the app after card issuance.

When a crypto card makes sense in Spain

Regular crypto income ($1,000+/month card-eligible spend), tired of repeating P2P for groceries and subscriptions, need Apple Pay for daily EUR purchases, and your primary asset matches the card program (USDT → RedotPay; USDC → strong Bybit EU fit).

When it probably doesn't

Low monthly card spend, preference for cash-only, one large quarterly bank transfer already covers your needs, or your income asset does not match any program without an extra conversion step.
